FAQ

What is Jays Care’s 50/50 raffle?

Jays Care’s 50/50 raffle is the biggest 50/50 in Major League Baseball and the ultimate win-win for you. When you purchase a 50/50 ticket, half the proceeds will be allocated to the grand prize, while the other half will go directly to Jays Care programming in communities across Ontario and Nova Scotia.

What kind of Jays Care programming and charitable causes is my purchase contributing to?

Jays Care Foundation uses the power of sport and play, to help level the playing field and improve the lives of youth facing barriers across the country. This includes children living with physical and cognitive disabilities, indigenous youth, and young girls and boys who may not otherwise have the chance to participate in organized sports. Through its life-changing programming, Jays Care is building a Canada where every child could grow, learn, and develop through play.

What are early bird prizes?

Early bird prizes are secondary prizes drawn during each jackpot, such as game-used items, autographed memorabilia, Blue Jays tickets, and much more! If you purchase your ticket before the next early bird draw, you will be eligible for all remaining draws in the current jackpot. Note, a ticket number drawn as an early bird prize winner can also be drawn for the grand prize jackpot; therefore, the earlier you buy, the more chances you will have to win, and you don’t have to worry about missing out on anything!

Please refer to the Rules of Play for each jackpot for a full list of early bird prizes and draw times.

How does each jackpot work for the 2024 season?

50/50 Jackpots are split into two categories for the 2024 regular season:

Homestand Jackpots: All ticket sales for this kind of jackpot are combined over the course of a homestand, with the winning ticket being awarded at the end of the final home game of the homestand.

Mega Jackpots: To celebrate both the start, midpoint, and end of the regular season, Jays Care will host Amazing April, O Canada, and Super September Mega Jackpots. Rather than awarding a winner at the end of each homestand, these 3 mega jackpots will combine sales for a prolonged period. During last season’s Super September Mega Jackpot, one lucky fan walked away with a grand prize of more than $5.9 million, the largest jackpot total in MLB history! You will not want to miss these jackpots.

Below is the jackpot schedule for the regular season:

  • Amazing April Mega Jackpot: Tuesday March 19th – Wednesday May 1st
  • Homestand Jackpot #1: Thursday May 2nd – Sunday May 12th
  • Homestand Jackpot #2: Monday May 13th – Wednesday May 22nd
